Mom’s visiting, and we spent part of yesterday at the beach as temperatures hit 90° F (36.7° C) in Ventura.
For once, the Channel Islands are visible in the distance; they’re more-often obscured by clouds.

Sunday at the beach
On Sunday, Chris and I headed to the beach. We initially tried to visit Faria Beach, but as the first photo shows, that wasn’t so suitable. We finally settled at Surfers Knoll, which was enjoyably quiet and uncrowded.
